Social Media Manager

Location: Hollywood, CA

Type: Full Time

Min. Experience: Manager/Supervisor

DeviantArt's Marketing team is seeking a Social Media Manager to strategize how we tell our story in the social sphere.

You are:

An Internet connoisseur. You love the social Web and you’ve spent much of your life online. You consider the Internet your home.
A true master of the English language with the ability to write in an established voice and tone, going above and beyond just grammar and spelling corrections.
Passionate about writing. You are someone who would look at a billboard while driving and say to yourself, “Wow, that’s terrible. I would do it so much better.”
Tech-savvy. You understand the the Internet, you’re familiar with social media sites and apps, and you have no trouble using technology.
Someone with attention to detail. You are someone who not only caught the error we made in the previous bullet point, but it also made you cringe.
Someone who has a passion for art and has an eye for what’s popular.
Someone with the ability to communicate complex points in simple, understandable ways.

You will:

Act as DeviantArt's voice through our digital channels and exercise impeccable judgment in representing DeviantArt.
Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of DeviantArt's social media presence.

Schedule and publish all content to social media channels accurately.
Maintain daily and weekly social media production and social marketing calendars.
Establish and maintain regular reporting of social engagement and KPIs.
Brainstorm unique ways to tell brand stories, including the stories of our members, and work with Marketing and Studio teams to generate brand-relevant content to be shared across social media.
Work closely with other departments and internal stakeholders on developing and executing content for promotions, news, and social advertising placements.
Recommend new technologies and emerging social platforms that enhance DeviantArt’s touch points with artists and art enthusiasts.
Stay current with best practices and industry standards as related to social media.

About DeviantArt:

We are where art starts, but that's only the beginning. We are the movement for the liberation of creative expression. We believe that art is for everyone, and we're creating the cultural context for how it is created, discovered, and shared.
Founded in August 2000, DeviantArt is the largest online social network for artists and art enthusiasts, and a platform for emerging and established artists to exhibit, promote, and share their works with an enthusiastic, art-centric community. We have over 42 million registered members and attract over 50 million unique visitors per month. Our members — knowns as deviants — upload thousands of pieces of original art works every day, everything from painting and sculpture to digital art, pixel art, films, and anime.
Artists love us because we are an inclusive and supportive community. We help them find their identity through self-expression. We provide the tools, resources, and exposure to enable them to become better, more successful artists. We inspire people to create art by feeding their creativity. We can't help it — it runs through our veins and compels us to nurture it in others. This is DeviantArt.
